“Driving on top of a subway car is reckless, extremely dangerous and reckless as it causes significant delays for other New Yorkers,” said Pat Warren, MTA’s Chief Safety and Security Officer. “Seeking a thrill that promises anguish for family and friends is reckless; choose other avenues to enjoy yourself, those that show respect for the people you care about.”

The teenager was taken to Elmhurst hospital, where he is hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say the teenager suffered a head injury.

No further details were released. The investigation is ongoing.
