PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The TSA said marijuana was found hidden inside a peanut butter jar at Pittsburgh International Airport.
An officer was looking for checked baggage to figure out why he set off an alarm when the discovery was made, a TSA spokesperson said Thursday.
The officer pulled three cans of marijuana wrapped in plastic bags out of the jar.
The TSA said the officers are not looking for drugs, but when they are found during a routine screening, the police are called.
The flyer told officials the marijuana was for medical use, but still thought he should try to hide them, the TSA said.
“Not a good decision,” the TSA spokesperson tweeted.
