dr Charlie Teo is engaged to his girlfriend Traci Griffiths, social media posts suggest

Sydney neurosurgeon Charlie Teo may have hinted shortly after revealing social media posts that he recently got engaged to girlfriend Traci Griffiths, swapping scrubs for a wedding suit.

The couple met when Ms Griffiths was Dr. Teos sought expert advice, although they only began dating eleven years later, after the brain surgeon separated from his wife.

Wedding rumors have dogged the well-known surgeon and his former patient for more than a year, but it seems the whispers may now have some truth in them.

Ms Griffiths, a vegan activist and fitness influencer, has used revealing hashtags in pictures of the couple to mark the change in their relationship status.

The former model has regularly shared photos of her and Dr. Teo referenced “#myhero” and “#mybestfriend,” but she updated the hashtags to “#myfiance” and “#ilovemyfiance” in May.

The revelations are buried in a series of hashtags attached to photos of Ms Griffiths at the Charlie Teo Foundation Ball more than two months ago.

The engagement hints continued in June with pictures of the costumed couple attending a Great Gastby birthday party.

Photos from the night feature the same fiancé hashtags and a nod to Dr. Labeled Teo’s Newsboy outfit.

After dropping the tantalizing proposals, Ms Griffiths remained quiet on the subject of their relationship.

The animal rights activist has stopped posting photos of the couple on her social media accounts and there have been no more revealing hashtags.

Neither she nor Dr. Teo have responded to requests for comment on the engagement.

The exciting clues come as Dr. Teo has resigned from his job as a neurosurgeon after conditions were imposed on his medical license last year following complaints from colleagues.

In August 2021, the NSW Medical Council banned Dr. Teo performing high-risk surgeries without the written approval of a second independent neurosurgeon.

The restrictions will remain in effect until next month.

Before reviewing his medical practices, Dr. Teo built his reputation by operating on patients with terminal or inoperable brain tumors.
