Queensland doctor William Bay films an anti-vax spray on Professor Paul Kelly

A Queensland GP who is leading a prominent anti-vaccination protest group has been suspended by Australia’s health regulator after a live-streamed tirade in front of the country’s top doctor.

The antics of Dr. William Bay have been brought to the attention of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) after disrupting a conference hosted by the Australian Medical Association last month.

The GP Registrar leads the Queensland People’s Protest, an anti-vaccination protest group promoting opposition to Covid-19 vaccine mandates.

At last month’s AMA conference, Dr. Bay live an amazing spray on the country’s Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly while stunned doctors looked on.

“I’m here today to ask you to join the people of Australia in stopping pushing these vaccines on people they kill,” Dr. scream Bay.

dr Bay accused Prof Kelly of lying and “gaslighting” his colleagues before he was escorted from the conference by security forces.

“All GPs, all doctors in Australia, you will be notified by the people of Queensland,” he can be heard shouting towards the end of the video.

“This is the Queensland People’s Protest and you have been warned.”

In a statement, an AHPRA spokeswoman said the Medical Board of Australia is proposing to suspend its registration through immediate action.

dr Bay has until August 16 to argue why his registration shouldn’t be suspended.

“Due to legal and data protection reasons, we cannot say anything further at the moment,” said the AHPRA spokeswoman.

NCA NewsWire has seen a copy of AHPRA’s suspension notice, which states that the Medical Board believes that Dr. Bay “poses a serious risk to individuals” and requires “immediate action” to protect public health.

The board raised concerns about videos that Dr. Bay had posted online regarding his “distrust of vaccinations”, public health and health system actions.

“Your statements, as late as June 2022, have the potential to undermine public health policies and positions regarding the Covid-19 vaccine,” the statement said.

“This behavior is of significant importance in situations where you appear to be relying on your position as a licensed health practitioner to lend credence to your position.”

The notice states that the suspension of Dr. Bay was justified as he “may have behaved in a manner that shows a general lack of qualities indispensable in a physician.

“(This includes) the ethical exercise of judgment and integrity and respect for public health guidelines,” the statement said.

dr Bay appeared on a podcast after his tirade and claimed some of his patients had complained of chest pain and an inability to walk, which he described as a “side effect” of the vaccines.

He claimed another “ejaculated blood”.

When asked if they had any complaints about these side effects associated with Dr. Bay’s patients, AHPRA said it could not comment on ongoing matters.

“The medical board’s expectations of physicians regarding vaccination and public health predate the COVID-19 pandemic. Our code of conduct sets the professional standards that we expect,” said the AHPRA spokeswoman.

“When providing information or advice, we expect practitioners to exercise professional judgment and ensure their advice is evidence-based and reflects the latest health advice.”

dr Bay was contacted for comment but did not respond.

In later social media updates, he showed defiance, saying he was “ready for battle” in a video posted to the QPP’s Facebook page last week.

“Whatever happens, it’s going to be fine because we have God on our side and we’re going to win anyway,” he says.

In another video, he accused AHPRA of gagging doctors and said they were trying to “destroy” him.

He’s also started a petition urging supporters to “save” his medical registry.

Earlier videos on social media showed the doctor “thrown away” his medical license and organized protests outside the offices of government officials and media organizations.
