Review: Citi Simplicity Credit Card

0% introductory April for 21 months on balance transfers: One of the longer introductory periods on balance transfers we’ve encountered, you’ll receive an introductory 0% April on balance transferred for 21 full months, which means you’ll have nearly two years to pay off your balance.

0% introductory April for 12 months on purchases: You will also receive a 0% introductory April on new purchases for the first 12 months. This is a useful advantage if you plan to purchase something with the card.

Choose the payment due date: A little flexibility can go a long way when it comes to managing your finances. The card allows you to choose from any available payment date, be it at the beginning, middle or end of the month. This way, you can set up automatic payments in line with your paycheck.

No penalty for delay: One of the most unique benefits is that there are never any late fees. While you should always pay your bill on time, as late payment can still affect your credit, it’s nice to know that you won’t be charged if you go wrong and miss a payment.

No penalty April: If you miss some payments, most credit cards will raise your interest rate up to their APR penalty. Citi® Simplicity® Card never charges a penalty, so your APR is not likely to increase due to late payments.

No annual fees: This card comes with no annual fee, which is an important feature if your goal is to pay off the debt.
