The New York Pride March draws thousands of people to Manhattan

Thousands of people turned up in New York City on Sunday June 26 to celebrate the first Pride March in three years which will take place without restrictions related to the pandemic. NYC Pride March, an annual event in New York City since 1970, began near Madison Square Park and continued along Fifth Avenue and into Greenwich Village, where it passed the historic Stonewall Inn, the site of the 1969 Stonewall Riots which is widely regarded as the landmark start of the modern LGBT + rights movement.
