New York bans illegal aliens from voting

In a time of pioneering enlightenment, New York lawmakers decided that only US citizens should be allowed to vote. “There is no legal capacity for New York City to enact inconsistent laws that allow non-citizens to vote and override the authority granted by the New York State Constitution,” wrote Ralph Porzio, a Staten Island Supreme Court Justice.

The recent ruling prevented over 800,000 non-citizens from voting by representing nearly one in nine of the city’s 7 million voting residents. The vote was approved with a majority of 33-14. Imagine visiting another country, maybe living there for a month, and having a say in who you elect in positions of power?

The only requirement for non-citizen voters of age under this failed proposal would be that they are allowed to work in the United States and have spent a measly 30 days in the city. They were pushing for this bill to be passed by 2023 to infiltrate, among others, the US presidential election of 2024. Mayor Bill de Blasio questioned the proposal but said he would not use his veto powers if the measure had passed. City Council Republican Minority Leader Joseph Borelli told The Associated Press that the bill “devalues citizenship” as “citizenship is the standard by which the state constitution issues or allows suffrage in state elections. of New York at all levels “. Borelli accused some lawmakers of using the bill to infiltrate the voting process.

Non-citizens do not need knowledge of the English language and do not need to have a real understanding of the electoral process in the United States. This law violates the Constitution so blatantly that there was bipartisan skepticism. It seems that only the “progressives” were firmly in support of this measure as everything is racist in their bloodshot eyes.
