The bosses must have known their supporters were waiting for their “player update” posts on social media when they posted the same Monday after 9:30 pm.

Naturena’s team then revealed their worst kept secrets by announcing Zitha Khwinika, Siyethemba Sithebe, Mduduzi Shabalala, Lehlogonolo Matlou, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Ashely Du Prees and Dillon Solomons.

Sithebe was signed by AmaZulu FC, Shabalala by the club academy, Matlou, Mahlatsi and Solomons were signed by Swallows FC while Du Preez and Khwinika were signed by Stellenbosch FC.

The club was likely forced to make official announcements as the squad is expected to converge at Naturena on Tuesday morning to begin preseason preparations under new manager Arthur Zwane.

There may still be some additions with the Yosuf Maart deal still in the works while some players may still be released from Amakhosi.

The Chiefs’ announcement of their latest acquisitions followed that of Soweto’s rivals, the Orlando Pirates, who also announced their new players on Monday afternoon.

Pirates has announced the arrival of Azola Matrose, Evidence Makgopa, Bienvenu Eva Nga and Miguel Timm.

The bosses are believed to be still in talks with former Bafana star Bafna Bongani Zungu’s leadership while they are also examining four other possible players from outside the country.
