The company also said that the newsletter company Revue, which it bought last year, would now become part of Twitter Write, along with the “Notes” feature. The long-form feature is being tested by a small group of authors, and Twitter gave no further details on its wider rollout. The company currently has a 280-character limit on tweets, a feature it began testing nearly five years ago.
In April, Twitter surprised users by announcing that it would begin testing a new editing feature in the coming months, calling it “the most requested feature in many years.”
The company is in the midst of a $44 billion buyout by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Inc, the richest person in the world according to Forbes magazine.
