Dissatisfied retail consumers shifting interest in AI-driven shopping

IN its third and latest biennial consumer study titled “Revolutionize retail with AI everywhere: Customers won’t wait,” IBM’s Institute of Business Value has found that retailers are falling short of customer expectations.

The global study reveals a widening gap between shopper demands and the current retail offering. Nearly all consumers reportedly said they’ve switched brands due to concerns with price, quality and availability — underlying issues across both the in-store and online experience.
