The 49B2U5900CH is a new ultra-wide monitor from Philips that offers a spacious and immersive viewing experience for office or entertainment use. It features a 48.8-inch VA panel with a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels and a 32:9 aspect ratio, which is equivalent to having two 27-inch monitors side by side. The monitor supports HDR10, VESA DisplayHDR 400, and covers 97% of the NTSC color gamut. It also has a pop-up webcam with a microphone and LED indicator for Windows Hello, as well as built-in speakers and a Kensington lock.
The Philips 49B2U5900CH is available in multiple markets with different pricing and availability options. In the UK, it costs £949.99, while in the Eurozone, it costs €1,199. The monitor is expected to roll out later this month. The monitor also comes with various connectivity options, including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, Ethernet LAN, and audio ports. Additionally, it supports Philips’ Smart KVM Switch for seamlessly transitioning peripherals between connected devices.
