Emmanuel Macron urges Israel to cease Gaza bombing campaign

French President Emmanuel Macron has called on Israel to stop killing babies and women in Gaza.

Speaking with the BBC, the President says there is no justification for Israel’s bombing of Gaza – also condemning the actions of Hamas.

He added that he hopes the US and UK join forces and follow France’s footsteps in calling for a ceasefire.

“These babies, these ladies, these old people are bombed and killed,” said Mr Macron.

“There is no reason for that.

“So we do urge Israel to stop.”
