Federal government eyes ‘major change’ to aged care systems

On tonight’s episode of Paul Murray Live, Sky News host Paul Murray discusses aged care, Dunkley, the media’s women problem, negative gearing, US politics and more.

Sky News host Paul Murray says “they hoped everyone else wasn’t looking” as the federal government is looking to make major changes to aged care in Australia.

“A potential major change to the way aged care is going to work in the country,” Mr Murray said.

“There isn’t a person amongst us who will not have to deal with this – the federal government is planning to make major changes as to how much you are going to have to pay when it comes to aged care.

“Increasingly there are plenty of people who would like your house to be considered as an asset you can sell to help fund your aged care.”
