Israel Defence Forces Spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Amnon Shefler says Hamas is “using” hospitals as their “headquarters”.
Mr Shefler says they are “hiding underneath”.
“Similarly, like they’re doing in schools, under kindergartens and many civilian areas,” he said.
“They deliberately use those spaces knowing that we follow our values and the rule of armed conflict and refrain from striking those areas whenever that is possible.
“Hamas is continuously using these to launch more attacks on Israeli civilians.”
