Sky News host Chris Kenny hits out at the Greens for “railing” against capitalism while multiple members profit from investment properties.
Greens Senator Max Chandler-Mather took aim at the Prime Minister after the Greens launched a push for changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax.
“We could be investing that money into building public housing, instead it is going to property investors like the Prime Minister with his three investment properties,” Mr Chandler-Mather said during a press conference.
Mr Kenny pointed out that Greens MP Elizabeth Watson-Brown, Senator Penny Allman-Payne, Senator Nick McKim, Senator Janet Rice and Senator Mehreen Faruqi all have investment properties.
“It begs the question doesn’t it about where Senator Chandler-Mather gets off having a go at the Prime Minister over investment properties,” he said.
“The Greens have got more investment properties than they do hyphenated names.”
