Piers Morgan brands trans participation in women’s sports ‘licensed cheating’

Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has branded trans participation in women’s sports “licensed cheating” after a Canadian powerlifter was suspended for speaking out about the issue.

April Hutchinson sat down with Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan in October to discuss the biological differences between males and females and how the transgender movement is affecting women’s sports.

During the interview, she pointed out the “physiological advantages” a man has when competing against women in sports.

Ms Hutchinson defended her comments in another interview with Mr Morgan in November, saying she thought she was being “polite” calling trans powerlifter Anne Andres a biological male.

“It’s like saying certain competitors can dope, if that was the case everyone would be up in arms and saying it’s unfair, you get an advantage,” Mr Morgan said.

“This (trans participation) is unfair, you get an advantage.”
